As we begin a brand new year it probably would be useful to start with a fundamental statement about the importance of people to every organization – no matter how automated the operation may be or may become. It is through people that we reach the vast majority of our goals in business and in life. Whether it’s ensuring the safety of a child placed in the care of a babysitter or hiring a new Fortune 500 CEO, people are the critical element in nearly every endeavor in life.
